We can implement and monitor quality specifications, facilitate effective solutions to supply chain requirements, improve the flow of information along the supply chains, and broker relationships between supply chain participants.
Quality specifications, assurance and control
Provenance is committed to ensuring high quality standards for produce and service within more sustainable, low-waste production and supply systems. We work with producers to develop achievable quality specifications, covering the product, harvest management, packhouse procedures, packaging, onward supply requirements (eg maintaining the cool chain) and procedures for late supply and complaint handling. We monitor ongoing compliance and provide appropriate support to ensure producers meet buyers’ requirements.
Supply chain facilitation
Provenance supports producers in meeting the packaging, transport and other requirements of customers.
Supply information and planning
Provenance provides buyers with the most complete information possible on future availability of product, extending to indicative lists up to 12 months in advance. Where there is clear demand, we will work with producers to plan production, allowing supply of specific products at appropriate capacity.
Communication and transparency
Provenance promotes transparency across the supply chain, providing the fullest possible information on provenance and production methods. We work to build strong relationships between producers, buyers and their customers, providing text and photos for promotional materials and organising farm visits.
Simple and robust ordering systems
Provenance provides a single product and price list, consolidating the lists of its portfolio of producers. Orders can be placed through a single online ordering system.
